Margaret was born in rural Titonka on December 10, 1920, the daughter of Herman and Johanna (Bruns) Franzen. In 1935, she was confirmed in her faith. Growing up she attended rural school and graduated the 8th grade. For several yearsfollowing school she worked on her family's farm.

Margaret married Dale Finer on April 18, 1951. Together they raised two sons, Sherman and Greg. In 1987 she and Dale retired from the farm and moved into town where they enjoyed each other and their time with family. Margaret A. Finer, 93, of Titonka, died on Tuesday August 19, 2014, at the Titonka Care Center.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm, Friday August 22, 2014, at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Titonka. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday August 23, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be held followingthe service in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Margaret was born in rural Titonka on December 10, 1920, the daughter of Herman and Johanna (Bruns) Franzen. In 1935, she was confirmed in her faith. Growing up she attended rural school and graduated the 8th grade. For several yearsfollowing school she worked on her family's farm.

Margaret married Dale Finer on April 18, 1951. Together they raised two sons, Sherman and Greg. In 1987 she and Dale retired from the farm and moved into town where they enjoyed each other and their time with family. Margaret moved intothe Titonka Care Center in 2008, 7 years after her husband's death.

Margaret enjoyed hand sewing, needle work, cooking and baking, not only for her own family but for others as well. She had a passion for music, was a member of Women of the E.L.C.A., was in card clubs, but most of all she cherishedspending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by her two sons, Sherman (Lynn) Finer of Des Peres, MO, and Greg (Julie) Finer of Titonka; grandchildren, Ryan Finer of Algona, IA, Rachel (Trevor) Arnold of Elkader, IA, Jonathan Finer of Denver, CO, Jacob Finer of CedarFalls, IA, Andrew Finer of Des Peres, MO; great grandchild, Sadey Arnold; sister, Doris Isebrand; sisters-in-law, Mary Franzen of Titonka, IA, Dorothy Bonnickson of Ringsted, IA; and a brother-in-law, Stan Tweeten of Manly, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Finer in 2001; parents, Herman and Johanna Franzen; sisters, Lois Franzen and Deloris Culbertson; brother, Ray Franzen.
