These genealogical standards are developed and recommended by the National Genealogical Society (NGS). NGS - not to be confused with the Dutch NGV - recommends these standards and guidelines for all who are / will improve its skills and expertise in genealogy. The NGS is not an accrediting or enforcement agency and does not assess whether these recommendations are complied with in private cases.
