Funeral services for Johanna F. Franzen, 94, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 5 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Titonka with Pastors Kim and Trudy Peterson officiating.

Mrs. Franzen died at the Titonka Care Center Thursday, February 1, 1990.

Casket bearers were her grandsons Greg Finer, David Isebrand, Darrell Isebrand, Douglas Culbertson, Sherman Finer, Rodney Isebrand, Bruce Culbertson, Scott Fredrickson and Michael Fredrickson. ... She married Herman Franzen on February 19. 1920 at the home of her parents. They lived their entire married life on the same farm. They retired and moved into Titonka in 1959. Her husband passed away in 1971. ... Johanna is survived by one son, Raymond and his wife Mary of Titonka; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Finer, Mrs. Morris (Doris) Isebrand and Mrs. Francis (Delores) Culbertson, all of Titonka. ..."

"DORIS H. ISEBRAND May 4, 1924 - June 3, 2022

Doris H. Isebrand, 98, of Titonka, died Friday, June 3, 2022, at Hancock County Health System in Britt. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. June 10, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Titonka. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. June 9, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Titonka. The service will be livestreamed on the Iowa Lutherans YouTube channel

Doris H. (Franzen) Isebrand was born in rural Titonka, Iowa on May 4, 1924, the daughter of Herman and Johanna (Bruns) Franzen. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was married to Morris M. Isebrand on May 14, 1943. As a housewife she and Morris farmed until 1984 and later returned to Titonka in 2008. Doris enjoyed visiting with family and friends while being active in the Titonka Legion Auxiliary and church women's bible studies. Her most cherished time was spent with her extended family.

Doris is survived by six children: Darrell (Liz) Isebrand of Eagan Minn., Jean (Gene) Allen of Alma, Ark., Dave (Ruby) Isebrand of Pemberton, Minn., Bonnie (Rick) Kearns of Hopkins, Minn., Rod (Linda) Isebrand of Lake Crystal, Minn., and Jolene (Mike) Leding of Barling, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Franzen of Titonka; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Johanna Franzen, her husband Morris in 2012, their infant son Gary Mark in 1953, sisters Margaret Finer, Lois Franzen, and Delores Culbertson, brother Ray Franzen, and infant grandson Anthony David in 1970."
