Final Rites Friday for Herman Franzen, 74

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Titonka for Herman Franzen, who passed away suddenly in Titonka on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 14.

Rev Roger Hanson, pastor will officiate, and intermant will gbe in the church cemetery. Douglas Culbertson, Gregory Finer, Sherman Finer, Darrel Isebrand, David Isebrand and Rodney Isebrand will serve as casket attendants. Music will beprovided by Arvid Boyken, organist and congregational singing. Blake Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Herman "Pat" Franzen, lifelong resident of the Titonka area, was born July 2, 1897, the son of Henry and Annette Franzen Sr. He was married February 19, 1920 at Titonka to Johanna Bruns at the home of the bride.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Margaret Finer, Mrs. Morris (Doris) Isebrand and Mrs. Francis (Deloris) Culbertson, all of Titonka; one son, Raymond of Titonka; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, threesisters, Mrs. Carrie Bruns and Mrs. Lina Sonnenberg of Titonka, and Mrs. Herman Limberg of Woden; and one brother, Dick Franzen of Titonka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one sister, and two brothers." <>
