The Schneiderman history in the Lincoln Co., SD history seems to indicate Jennie was born in Delaware Co., Lincoln Co., SD

Jennie Cavin was born at Davis, South Dakota on January 1, 1902, the daughter of Henry E. and Hattie Schneiderman. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Davis-Lennox area.

On January 16, 1923 she was united in marriage to M.D. Cavin at Davis. Following the marriage they lived in the Lennox and Davis area and moved to Luverne, Minnesota where they lived for three years. In 1943 they moved back to Lennoxwhere they had since lived. Her husband preceded her in death on July 4, 1976. She became a resident of the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on January 5, 1978.

She attended the Second Reformed Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Lennox.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Fodness, on February 5, 1973; one brother, Ed Schneiderman on May 17, 1983 and on sister, Abbie Knock on November 4 198_.

Having been in failing health for the past six years, Jennie died at the Lennox Good Samaritan Center on August 5, 1984. She attained the age of 82 years, seven months and four days.

Survivors include two sons: William Cavin and Robert Cavin, both of Lennox; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, John W. Schneiderman of Lennox; two sisters, Mrs. Remda Elcock of Lennox and Mrs. Hattie Nuttbrock of Willow Lake."
