Memorial services for Hio Boekelman, 93, of Aurora, Colorado will be held in Mason City on Friday, October 29. Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Mason City. Hio passed peacefully into the hands of Christ on Thursday, October 14,2004.

Hio Lambert Boekelman, son of Lambert and Maggie Boekelman, was born April 12, 1911. He attended Buffalo Center Schools and went on to graduate from the University of Iowa in 1933 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He spent mostof his working life wiht the Commonwealth Edison Company in the Chicago area.

He is survived by his daughters: Sally and her husband, Paul Erdman; Barbara and her husband, Jim McCotter, all of Aurora; his son, John of Williamsville, New York; a sister, Jo Hanson, of Buffalo Center; a brother, Vernold [or Vemold](Buck) Boekelman of Fort Dodge; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, his parents and a sister, Vi Jeppsen." <>
