"Funeral Services Held April 3 for Mrs. J. Boeckholt

The Buffalo Center community was deeply saddened early last Wednesday morning, April 3, upon hearing of the sudden passing of Mrs. Jessie Boeckholt, a lifelong resident of this vicinity. Funeral services" were held at the First ReformedChurch in Buffalo Center Saturday, April 6 with Rev. George Kots in charge. Pallbearers were Harry Kettwick, George Heyer, Amel Ltmberg, Ubbe Heyes, Bermie Limberg and Ubbe Jutting. The burial took place in the Graceland cemetery atBuffalo Center. Mrs. 'Jessie Boeckholt passed away at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa April 3, 1963 at 6 a.m. at the age of 72 years. Her death was due to heart failure. She had not been feeling well for several months. Shebecame seriously ill on Sunday. She was taken to the hospital at Mason City on Monday. She was born May 10, 1890 in Kossuth county to Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Albers, Sr. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, two children, onegrandchild, three brothers and one sister. Her first husband, Wessel Jutting, united in marriage with her February 16, 1911. He passed away with the flu in 1918. Her son, Ubbe, died at the age of 12 by a fall from a wagon. Her daughter,Hermina, gave birth to a baby and both passed away in December of 1936.

Her second husband, Harm Boeckholt, united in marriage with her May 23, 1920. He passed away with a heart attack in March of 1943. To this union were born a son and a daughter: Mildred, now Mrs. Robert Richter of Burt; and WilbertBoeckholt of Garner. Also surviving are four grandsons: Kenneth, Dennis, Leslie and Harlan Richter; and one granddaughter, Diane Boeckholt. Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters: Henry Albers of Britt; Bertha Smith, MaggieBoekelman, Dora (Mrs. Hio Loats), Minnie Jutting and Ted Albers, Jr., all of Buffalo Center; and other relatives and friends."

She died last Wednesday morning at Mercy hospital in Mason City. She had been ill for several months. She-was born Miy 10, 1890 in Kossuth county, the daughter of Theodore Alberts Sr. She was married to Wessel Jutting on Feb. 16, 1911 and he preceded her in death in the flu epidemic of 1918. Both children of this marriage, Ubbe andHermina, preceded the mother in death.

She was later married to Harm Boeckholt on May 23, 1920 and he died in March, 1943. Surviving this union is a daughter, Mildred, Mrs Robert Richter of Burt, and a son, Wilbert Boeckholt, Garner. There are also five grandchildrensurviving; two brothers, Henry Alberts of Britt and Ted Alberts Jr. of Buffalo Center; four sisers, Bertha Smith, Maggie Boeelman, Mrs Hio Loats and Minie Jutting, all of Buffalo Cener. Three brothers and a siser preceded her in deathalso. Serving as pallbearers were Beanie and Amel Limberg, Harry Kettwick, George Heyer, Ubbe Heyes and Ubbe Jutting." <>
