"Funeral Services for Harm Boeckholt Held Thursday

Funeral services for Harm Boeckholt were held Thursday afternoon March 25th, at the home, followed with services at the Reformed church with Rev. Henry F. Senne in charge. Interment was in Graceland cemetery.

Again, in His Divine Wisdom, our Heavenly Father has taken unto Himself one of the members of our community, in the very sudden passing of Harm Boeckholt, on Saturday evening, March 20th, 1943. His sudden death as a result of a heartattack, was a shock not only to his immediate family, but to the entire community. It seemed as "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye," that "He was not, for God took him."

Mr. Boeckholt was born on the 14th day of October, 1889, at Leer, Ostfriesland, Germany; coming to this country as a small boy with his parents. On May 23rd, 1921, he was united in Holy wedlock to Jessie Albers. This union was blessedwith two children; a son, Wilbert, in the service at Fort Houston, Texas; and a daughter, Mildred, at home. The deceased was a faithful member of the local Reformed church since 1935, when he made public confession of his Faith in Christas his savior. From 1937 to 1941 he served as a Deacon on the consistory of the church.

His unexpected departure at the age of 53 years, 5 months and 6 days is deeply mourned by his beloved wife and children, three brothers and five sister, and a large number of other relatives and friends." <>
