"Andrew Albers Passed Away Early Thursday Morning

Deceased Had Been In Poor Health Several Years. Funeral Services Were Held Monday.

Funeral services for Andrew Albers, who passed away early last Thursday morning, were held at his home Monday afternoon at one o'clock, followed with services at the local Reformed Church. Interment was in Olena Mound cemetery.Pallbearers were: Gus Kiekel, Glen Kahler, Jake Johnson, Ole Beekman, John Johnson, Henry Beekman.

And again we are called upon as families, and as a church and community, to lay aside the mortal remains of another loved one and friend. Thus spake Rev. Wm. R. Everts, Monday afternoon as he conducted funeral services for Andrew Albers.

One by one they are going to rest, So let it be, for God knoweth best; One by one He is calling them home, Pilgrims and strangers, never to roam.

Andrew Albers

was born in Kossuth County, Iowa, on June 25, 1882, and died at his home near Buffalo Center on January 16, 1941, at about one o'clock in the morning, at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Annie Kardoes on October 6, 1904. Five children came to gladen the home.

-Mr. Albers had been ailing for several years. Complications set in about three months ago, from which, although he was able to be up and about and to go in and out with his family, yet he was not recovering. And suddenly, before theimmediate members of the home could be brought to the bedside, or help could be summoned, his soul had taken its flights to the realms beyond. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and his five children: Jessie' (wife of Nelmer Matson) of Woden; Annie (wife of Alrich Burma) of Thornton; Teda (wife of Henry Krull; Anna (wife of Fred Westendorf; and Fred, at home. There remain also his aged mother, Mrs. Theodore. Albers; three brothers, six sisters, sixgrandchildren, and a very large circle of other, more distant relatives, and friends, who also all share in the great sorrow that has come through his departure"
