"Services Held for Former Area Resident

Albers, 55, of Swea City, a former Buffalo Center area resident, were held Saturday morning, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Armstrong. Albers had died suddenly Thursday evening, October 20 at his home followinga heart attack. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Armstrong with Henry and Olson Funeral Home at Swea City in charge.

"Funeral Services Held August 11 for Jessie Matson, 75

Funeral services for Jessie Matson, 75, of Buffalo Center were held Monday morning, August 11, 1980 at 10:30 a.m. at the Unite'd Methodist Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Douglas McGraw officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery with Winter Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Edward Winter, Stanley Venteicher, Frank Risius, Elmer Leibrand, Carroll Van Hove and Fred Harms. Mrs. Jack DeVries was organist and Jack DeVries was soloist.

Jessie Albers was born January :31, 1905 at Buffalo Center to Andrew and Annie Albers.

On September 7, 1926 she was united in marriage to Nelmer Matson at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jessie passed away Friday morning, August 8, 1980 at Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center after an illness at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 8 days.

Survivors include a daughter, Joan Miller of West Des Moines; two grandchildren; one greatgrandson, and two sisters, Annie Burma of Thornton and Teda Krull of Buffalo Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelmer on January 21, 1974, and by her parents, one sister and one brother."
