Mrs. Clifford Phillabaum, 43, Shanesville, died Wednesday afternoon following an illness of two years while enroute to a hospital.

Erdine Marie Balder was born July 31, 1921 in Walnut Creek to Harry and Sarah Hostetler Balder. She was a member of the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.

Surviving are the husband; a son, Clifford T. of the home; four daughters, Mrs. David Renner of Baltic, Brenda Kay, Joyce Elaine and Wanda Marie, all of the home; a brother, Dale Balder of Shanesville, two sisters, Mrs. Paul Olinger ofDenver and Mrs. Loyal Shrock of Sugarcreek, and two grandchildren. One son id deceased.

Services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 at the Everhart-Butler funeral home in Shanesville and at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. by Rev. Paul R. Miller and Eldon King. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends maycall at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

SUGARCREEK - Clifford C. Phillabaum, 64, Sugarcreek, a native of Coshocton, died Sunday morning in Union Hospital at Dover following a long illness.

Born May 31, 1913, in Coshocton, he was a son of George and Sophia Kutcher Phillabaum. He was married to the former Erdine Balker, who died in 1961.

He was a former employe of the Nickel Plate Railroad, retiring in 1960.

Surviving are a son, Clifford T. Phillabaum of the home; four daughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Renner, Sugarcreek, Mrs. James (Brenda) Duff, West Lafayette, Mrs. Richard (Wanda) Welling, Sugarcreek Route 1, and Miss Joyce E. Phillabaum ofthe home; brother, Bert of Fresno; two half-brothers, Elliott of West Lafayette and Rolland of Cambridge; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Durant, Mrs. Raymond Roof and Mrs. Harry Johnson, all of Coshocton; five grandchildren and one fostergrandchild. A sister, four brothers and a son are deceased.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler Funeral Home here in charge of Rev. John Johnson. Burial will be in the Mennonite Cemetery at Walnut Creek.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
