BIOGRAPHY: "History of Coshocton Co., OH" by N. Hill, p763 for "Alexander Phillabaum, WE twp, farmer, born in Washington co, Pa Dec 1838. He is the son of George Phillabaum, who came to this township abt 1844. His father was married toMiss Sarah Miller of Washington co, Pa, and they became the parents of 8 children, Alexander remained at home until he was married, which was in 1867 to Miss Magnolia Geese, d/o Christopher Geese, who was born in 1849 in this county. Hehas a family of six children, viz: Manda, Sarah B., Victoria, Emma J., George, and Mary. Mrs. Phillabaum died Dec 28, 1877, aged 28y, and is buried at Kimbles. He moved on the farm where he now resides in 1868. He has served as treasurerof WE twp six times and holds that office now."
