COSHOCTON -- Mary Alice Roof, 87, formerly of South 10th Street and Autumn Health Care of Coshocton, died at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.

Born May 12, 1916, in Fresno, she is a daughter of the late George W. and Sophia (Kutcher) Phillabaum.

A 35-year-plus employee of Novelty Advertising, she was a tinner when retiring in 1988.

On Nov. 2, 1947, she married Raymond L. Roof, who preceded her in death June 13, 1979. She previously was married to Clarence Keithline.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (Judy) Keithline of Coshocton and Greg Roof of West Lafayette; daughter, Gladys (Vernon) Williams of Coshocton; stepson, Gary Roof of New Philadelphia; stepdaughter, Janice Nelson of Ocala, Fla.; eightgrandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by stepson, Raymond David Roof; six brothers, Gail, Russell "Dent", Clifford, French, Bert and Jay Phillabaum; and three sisters, Victoria Stewart, Florence Johnson andGertrude Durant. ... Marriage 1 KEITHLINE

Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to services Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Free Funeral Home.

Memoriams may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
