'Ted H. Albers, 92

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center for Ted H. Albers, 92. Rev. William Peake will officiate. Visitation will be at Winter Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 to8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour before services at the church. Music will be provided by organist Marlene Krull and vocalists Loren and Lucy Larson and Stephen Nelson. The congregation will also sing a hymn. Casketbearers will be DavidJarvill, Thomas Jarvill, Michell Nelson, Stephen Nelson, Kyle Albers, John Oftedahl and Wes Madetzke. Interment will be in the Olena Mound Cemetery in Buffalo Center. Ted passed away Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Timely Mission NursingHome in Buffalo Center. Winter Funeral is in charge of arrangements.

Theodore H. (Ted) Albers, son of Henry and Mary (Smith) Albers, was born on August 31, 1909 on a farm near Woden. He received his education in the Woden School. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Church in Woden. He was united inmarriage to Fanna Hippen on July 2, 1932. They lived their entire 50+ years of marriage in Buffalo Center. Fanna passed away February 11, 1982. Ted worked in the Buffalo Center Creamery for many years until it closed. He then workedat Timely Mission Nursing Home until retirement. In 1984, he married Gladys Pederson, his wife of eighteen years. He was a faithful member of the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center. He served on all committtees. He especiallyenjoyed singing in the church choir and small groups. After retirement many years were spent wintering among the snowbirds of Texas, where he continued to sing and organize group singing. Sunday sing-alongs were his favorite. He was anactive member of the Buffalo Center Lions Club. Ted was also an active walker and jogger.

Ted is survived by his wife, Gladys, of Buffalo Center; a daughter, Delores Nelson, and her husband, Walter, of Menlo Park, California; a son, Darrell Albers, and his wife, Maureen, of Oyster Bay, New York; seven grandchildren; fivegreat-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margreta Steen and Mabel Kadlecik, both residents of the Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center; a brother, Ernest, of California. He was preceded in death by hisparents, his wife, Fanna; a daughter, Geraldine, and four brothers: William, Raymond, Harry and Johnny.'
