ESTHERVILLE - Funeral services for Anita Barlow, 84, of Estherville will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at United Methodist Church in Estherville with Pastor Lynn Elrod officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville.

She died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Anita Maxine (Swalve) Barlow, the daughter of Otto J. and Elsie (Sleeper) Swalve, was born Feb. 15, 1929, on a farm near Ledyard.

On April 26, 1947, she was united in marriage to Vern Eugene Barlow in Jackson, Minn. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville.

Left to cherish Anita's memory are her children, Michael Barlow and his wife, Marjean, of Minnetonka, Minn. and Catherine Miller and her husband, Brian, of Estherville; six grandchildren: Robin Halonen and her husband, Brian, of Mound, Minn., Melissa Aguilar and her husband, Moises, of Hickory, N.C., Amanda Vagle of West Des Moines, Alex Miller of Estherville, Brandon Larson and his wife, Michelle, of Minnetonka, Minn. and Chris Larson of Woodbury, Minn.; six great-grandchildren: Emma, Kaleb and Ben Halonen, Mya Aguilar, Anthony and Kaitlyn Larson; siblings: Sena McGregor and her husband Forrest, of Buffalo Center, Leona Kleine of Elk River, Minn., Elsie Selberg and her husband Harold, Ada Williams and Andy Swalve and his wife, Rozella, all of Estherville.
