Another source gives 1879. Robert Kent sent a Family Group Sheet with a year of marriage = 1979, but in the same package, he sent another FGS with hand-written additions with the date 1874. Either this is an error in transcription or he had a 2nd source which he preferred over the FGS enclosure.

"MRS. EVERT SLEPER BURIED AT RAMSEY LAST WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Evert Sleeper, nee Antje Kruithoff, was born on the 2nd of November, 1856, at Hitzumer-Hamrich, in Germany. In April, 1879, she was united in marriage to Evert Sleper. In the spring of 1892 the family came to this country andsettled in the neighborhood of the Ramsey Reformed church, and of this church she became a member and was such until her membership was transferred to Buffalo Center in 1933. She had been a faithful member always. Even at her advancedage she attended service quite frequently until recently when for reason of failing strength sht was prevented to worship in the house of God.

Saturday evening, November 18, she departed this life to be with her Lord. She reached the age of four score and eight years, and 16 days, following her husband who died on 1923. Mrs. Sleper brought 10 children into the world, two ofwhom died in infancy; one daughter, Alberdina, passed away in 1898, and a son, Evert, in 1933.

She is survived by six children who mourn her going, a son John of Titonka, and five daughters: Annie, Mrs. C. J. Rippentrop; Minnie, Mrs. O. J. Rippentrop; Elisie Mrs. Otto Swalve; Hermina, Mrs Ubbe Winter; and Maggie, Mrs. Henry Baker;and a granddaughter, Alberdina Lamping, Mrs. Wentworth, who was raised by the grandmother from infancy. Besides these there are 50 grrandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. five of the grandsons are inthe armned forces, all of them serving overseas.

Funeral services were held in the Reformed church at Buffalo Center Wednesday afternoon, November 29 with burial in the Ramsey Reformed church cemetery."
