Services were held Wednesday, May 19 at First Reformed Church in Sioux Falls for Peter P. Murra who died Saturday afternoon, May 15, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls.

He attained the age of 90 years and three months.

Peter P. Murra was born on a farm south of Lennox, South Dakota on Feb. 15, 1914, the son of Peter and Jennie (Groen) Murra. He attended Sunnyside District #15 rural school and grew up there.

On Aug. 24, 1946 he was united in marriage to Dorothy A. Hora at Spencer, SD. Following their marriage they farmed on the Murra homestead south of Lennox and moved to their farm south of Hartford in 1965.

Peter was preceded in death by his father in 1937, his mother in 1966; six brothers and five sisters.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Dorothy; his six children and their spouses: Melvin and Barbara Murra of Sioux Falls, Marlin and Joy Murra of Andover, Minnesota, Vern and Pam Murra of Sioux Falls, Gary and Darlene Murra of Sioux Falls, Leslie and Delores Murra of Lead and Marcene and James Siemonsma; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Siepkes of Lennox; plus many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
