BURIAL - Meservey, Ia. Reformed cemetery, she died from childbirth and the baby and Grace were buried together in the casket. OBITUARY: GRACE LIEUWEN BARKEMA, Grace Lieuwen, nee Lieuwen, was born Nov. 9, 1897, in Iowa Township, Wright County, IA, and died at one o'clock Monday morning, August 26, 1929, at the Lutheran Hospital, Hampton, IA where she was taken the evening before. ... On November 2, 1915, she was united in marriage to Hauko Barkema, who survives her with seven children, five boys and two girls, namely, Theodore, ... ... Funeral services were held Thursday, August 28 at 1 o'clock at the house and from there to the Reformed church at Meservey. Burial was made in the Meservey cemetery. [copy] ..." <>
