"William F. Lamping, 82

Services for William F. Lamping, 82, of Buffalo Center, who passed away peacefully at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City Thursday. March 23, 1995 were held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Buffalo Center, Monday, March 27 at 10:30a.m. Rev. Gerald Dyste officiated.

Casketbearers were Jeff Freer. Zachery Lamping. Joshua Lamping, Bill Lamping, Dena Lainping-Gatcs, Charlotte Lamping-Rangel. Honorary casketbearers were Jessie Lamping, John Lamping. Martin Lamping. Brittany Rangel and Shawn Rangel.Music was provided by Nancy Jensvold, organist, with soloist Rochelle Wickwire and congregational singing. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center. Winter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

William P. Lamping, son of John and Gepka (Albers) Lamping, was born June 15. 1912 in Buffalo Center.

He was united in marriage to Charlotte Jacobson in Thompson, May 31, 1938.

Bill was employed at John Deere in Clear Lake for a number of years and then at Chrysler Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois where he was a member of UAW #1268, retiring in 1976.

He belonged to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Lions Club and was active in the Senior Citizens Club.

William is survived by his wife of 57 years. Charlotte Lamping of Buffalo Center, sons: Darrell Lamping and his wife. Cindy, of Rockford, Illinois; Keith Lamping of Rockford. Illinois; Leslie Lamping and his wife, Kathy, of Riverside; daughters: Joy Paunieri of Arcadia. California; Karen Freer of Henderson. Nevada; daughter-in-law Judy Lamping of Cherry Valley. Illinois; ten grandchildren: Bill, Kim, Charlotte, Joshua. Jessica. Jeff. Zachery, Dena, John and Martin; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Jesse Berhow of New Richmond, Wisconsin and Jeanette Olson of Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one son, Gary."
