. Jacob Hugo Dreyer (geb 28.8.1924; oorl 5.7.1997) Hy was hy ‘n laatlam, gebore toe sy ma en pa reeds goed in die veertig was. As geneesheer werk Jackie eers ‘n aantal jare vir die Weermag by die militere basis in Wynberg, en trou op 17.12.1949 in die Paarl Vallei NG Kerk met Marie le Roux (geb 4.4.25 in Groot Brakrivier, waar haar Pa skoolhoof was). Haar gesin trek later Worcester-toe en dan na die Paarl waar hulle eers in Pleinstraat en dan in Nantesstraat woon en my Pa haar in hul hoerskooljare leer ken. . Sy bekwaam haar in Observatory in die Kaap by die … as onderwyseres en spraakterapeut en werk voor haar troue eers ‘n jaar lank in Port Elizabeth.

In XXX aanvaar Hy ‘n pos as Mediese Gesondheidsbeampte (Medical Officer of Health) van die Paarl, nadat hy ook ‘n diploma in openbare gesondheid aan die Universiteit van Kaapstad voltooi


Medical doctor. Was a doctorin the military stationed at Wynberg in the early 50's. Moved to Paarl as Medical Officer of health for the district, and was superintendent of the Sonstraal Tuberculosis Hospital in Paarl. Specialised in Opthalmology at Groote Schuur Hospital in the late sixties and spent the rest of his working life working in the Opthalmology dept at this hospital, driving in from Paarl every day.
