    Paul was born November 29, 1939 in West Liberty, Iowa, to Paul P and Elizabeth (Dykstra) Kruse Sr. He graduated from Parnell High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. On January 2, 1958 Paul was united in marriage tohis high school sweetheart Sally (Sarah) Allan. He worked at Procter & Gamble and retired in 1995 after working there for over 25 years. Paul enjoyed buying new vehicles, farming, working in his shop, his dogs Gracie & Lucy and a cold beer.

    Paul is survived by his loving wife Sally of 61 years; their children Lela (Doug) Schumacher, Chris (Tim) Meade and Mark (Jeanie) Kruse; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, Vicki Schumacher, Danielle (Dan) Maya and Beckett Tallman, Tyler (Niki), Zoey and Jackson Meade, Travis (Lindsey), Colton, Addie and Gavin Meade, Tristan (Dane) and Ainsley Sievers and Cassie (Mike) Lohrer. Paul was preceded in death by their infant son Paul; his parents and a sister Betty Cummings.
