In 1915 the family Dykstra was living in Rock Creek Township, postoffice Turner, a former town, located about 25 miles northeast of Pella and 10 miles north of the city of Sully, Jasper County, Iowa.
In January 1920 Dora Dykstra (10), her father Charles Dykstra (46, stock farmer), mother Elibeath (36), and siblings Jennie (16), Bert (15, Iowa), Cobus (13, Iowa), Clara (11, Iowa), Cyrus (8, Iowa), Elizabeth (5, Iowa) and David (3, Iowa) were still living in Rock Creek Township, Jasper County, Iowa.
In 1930 the 20 years old and single roomer Dora V Dykstra, born in Iowa, was living in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa, with the family of J Maris (61, Iowa). In 1936 she was a student in Iowa City, Iowa.
Dora died in September 1993 in Oregon, just like her brother Bert, at the age of 83 years in very probably her last residence place, Portland, the seat of Multnomah County and also the capital of Oregon.
