Lambert, (Bert) is born on February 2, 1905 in Richland, Jasper County, Iowa. His parents are Charles Dykstra and Elizabeth Moes. He has nine brothers and sisters: Marion, Jennie, Cobus James, Clara, Dora, Cye, Elizabeth, David and Rose Alice. In the US Census 1910 and 1920 he still lives in Jasper County (Richland and Rock Creek).
In the US Census of 1940 Bert (35) is registrated as a farmer, ‘unmarried’ and lives in the rented farm of his parents Charles and Elizabeth in Center Township, Cedar County, Iowa. His brother David who is married with Mildred Noll, lives next to them.
Bert died in June 1977, Coos, Oregon, just like his sister Dora.
