    De vrouw van Luc Vos was een dochter van oom Gosse en Tante Fenny die in Hoensbroek woonden. Haar vader werkte in de mijn alleen in de nachtdienst omdat zijn vrouw reuma had en ook overdag verzorging nodig had. Fenny had een heel dik been, als jong meisje is dit been te lang bestraald met radio actief materiaal waardoor deze snelle groei is ontstaan. Deze bestraling werd gedaan omdat zij het ene been langer had dan de andere, daarom probeerden ze door bestraling de groeischijf onder de knie stop te zetten. Ook had ze de ziekte van Recklinghausen, wat inhield dat ze zowel inwendig als uitwendig overal kleine wratjes had. waar geen medicijn voor was. In totaal heeft ze zestien operaties aan haar been gehad. Dit beperkte haar wel in de mobiliteit en ze kwam niet zovaak buiten de deur. Bovendien woonden ze één hoog wat ook wel een belemmering was voor haar. Gelukkig had Luc later wel een auto zodat ze wel naar Limburg en Drenthe konden op vakantie. Als we daar een paar dagen waren, had ze altijd heerlijke gebak, ze noemde dat “Hemelse moddertaart” het was een soort mokkataart. Tijdens haar zestiende operatie is ze overleden. In onze herinnering is ze een lieve en zorgzame moeder geweest, die geen makkelijk levenspad heeft gehad. Ook was het altijd heel fijn om bij haar te mogen logeren al was de ruimte beperkt in fysieke zin.
    Uit dit huwelijk zijn twee dochters geboren Gonnie en Mathilde.

    Een leuke anekdote is dat ik examen moest doen in Utrecht voor leermeester gezel rotatie drukker in Utrecht. omdat ik niet van uit Emmen tijdig genoeg aanwezig kon zijn voor het examen zijn wij de dag er voor naar Luc en Fenny gegaan en zijn die nacht daar gebleven. Die avond hebben Luc en ik wat diep in het glaasje Keizer bitter gekeken, wat tot resultaat had dat ik de volgende morgen een behoorlijke kater had, en barste van de hoofdpijn. Zes weken later kwam de uitslag op twee onderdelen van het examen had ik een tien.

    Uit dit huwelijk zijn twee dochters geboren Gonnie en Mathilde.
