Deze Lucas Vos werd ook wel "Oompie Baron" genoemd.
Hij kwam van tijd tot tijd wel eens langs bij onze ouders (Jantinus Vos en Jantje Katuin) thuis in Roswinkel. Vermoedelijk op de terugreis nadat hij zijn zus Auktje Vos in Stadskanaal had bezocht.
Hij werkte voor Vredestein banden fabriek.

Bevolkingsregister
Lucas Vos is op 7 Oktober 1938 verhuist naar de Zeggelaan 245 te 's Gravenhage. Waarschijnlijk moet dit de "van Zeggelenlaan" zijn. Hij was toen 20 jaar.

Heeft in Indonesie (Nederlands Indie) gediend als scherpschutter, daar 3 kameraden verloren en is als enige overgebleven. Heeft voorts gewerkt bij Vredestein bandenfabriek als ventielslijper en magazijnbediende. Na ca 25 jaar afgekeurd wegens rugklachten (bronnen Mensien Rozema Vos en zoon Bennie).

Lucas Vos heeft net als zijn neef Jantinus Hendrikus Vos in Nederlands Indie gediend als vrijwillige marinier. Ze hebben opleiding in Schotland gehad en zijn met een boot (met terugkerende Amerikaanse soldaten van WO II) naar Amerika gegaan voor een vervolgopleiding. In de bijlage de registratie dat de beide heren Vos in Amerika aankwamen. Alle imigranten kwamen in Ellis Island aan.
