Janneke Vos en Frederik Baas hadden een kleine kruidernierswinkel aan de paralel vaart (Noorderdiep) in Valthermond. Ik ging een keer met mijn moeder naar Janneke. De moeder van Janneke lag in het achterhuis ziek op bed. Ik weet nog dat ik nij mijn moeder achterop de fiets zat met beide benen bij mijn moeder in de fietstassen.
