Notes about Wicher Cornelis Vos

Eerste huwelijk (1754) is niet duidelijk te lezen of er nu Vos achter Cornelis staat of dat dit "van" Wirdum is.

Wicher Cornelis is bakker te Farmsum. Zijn Vader Cornelis Wichers was bakker te Wirdum, zijn broer Frerik was bakker te Sappermeer.

In het huwelijkscontract van Wicher Cornelis Vos en Geertuida Jans, wordt zijn vader Cornelis Wichers genoemd (geen Vos), maar de familie van Lutgert Freerks, welke inmiddels was overleden, worden wel veelvuldig aangevuld met Vos. Als getuigen van Wicher Cornelis Vos worden genoemd zijn broer Freedrik Cornelis Vos, maar ook zijn zus Diewerke Cornelis Vos, alsmede ooms en neven van Wicher, allen met Vos.

In het huwelijkscontract van WC Vos met Elisabeth Pieters wordt vader Cornelis Wichers opeens aangevuld met Vos. Dit is trouwens het enige document waar de naam Vos aan Cornelis Wichers is gekoppeld. Alle andere documenten wijzen naar de familieleden van Lutgert Freerks.

Huwelijkscontract van Willem Jans Bakker en Aaltje Derks. Aan de Bruidszijde worden o.a. genoemd Wijger Cornelius Vos en Lijsebet Pieters. Hoewel iets anders geschreven moet dit wel onze Wicher Cornelis Vos zijn. Later dit jaar is Elisabeth in het kraambed overleden. Welke relatie zij met Aaltje Derks hadden is niet bekend.

Farmsum 1793 gedoopt 8 september Elyzabet, dogter van Wicher Cornelis Vos en Elyzabet Pieters, zijnde de moeder in het kraambed overleden.

fol.34v - 27 mei 1802 - Haijo Eltjes, zoon van Eltje Claasens en Weeje Amos, te Westerlee, en Aaltjen Heeres, wed. Simon Tiddes, maken huwelijkse voorwaarden. Goederen ongemeen, winst en verlies half om half, kinderen gelijk, indien hij eerder overlijdt dan zij, krijgt zij alle goederen, behalve de aangeerfde, omgekeerd geldt dit ook, indien er geen kinderen zijn, en de achterblijvende partner niet hertrouwd, bij hertrouwen moet er een inventaris zijn en borgstelling, de lijfstoebehoren worden overgedragen als de erven 150 gld. betalen voor de doodskosten. Brg.: Harm Eltjes, halfbroer. Menso Eltjes en Roelfijn Hindriks (ehel.), halfbroer. Eltje Clasen en Freerkje Claasens, halfbroers zoon en dochter. Harke Pieters en Grietje Poppes (ehel.) nicht. Jantjen Poppes, nicht. Br.: Wicher Vos [Wicher E. Vos], Hindrik Haijkes [Hindrik Heikes] en P. Arkema, voormond en voogden inzake de kinderen verwekt bij wijlen Simon Tiddes. Marten Simons, Cornelis Simons en Tietje Simons, zoons en dochter. Hindrik Haijkes en Leentje Heeres [Leintien Heeres] (ehel.), zuster. Getuigen: Jan G. Kuiper en Hindrik Jans Cobeet [Hindrik Jans Kobet]. Termunterzijl.

1807 Arentje Harms 5 jaar overlijdt in het huis van haar oom Wicher Cornellis Vos

in 1816 bij zijn overlijden, blijkt dat Wicher Cornelis veldwachter is geweest in en woonde in het huis 84 te Delfzijl.
