    Deze Egbert Vos, een broer van Oma Pietertje Vos was melkboer. Hij bracht de melkbussen naar de zuivelfabriek in Odoorn en nam allerlei zuivelproducten mee terug naar Valthe voor zijn dorpsgenoten.
    Tante Gerda de Jonge-Vos kan zich nog herinneren dat ze met een pannetje naar haar Ome Egbert toe ging om soepenbrei te halen. Bij navraag is het pannetje toch zo groot dat ze 1,5 tot 2 liter kon meenemen.

    Deze Egbert Vos was ook mede-oprichter van de Vrije Evangelisatie in Valthe.
