Wilhelmus, (Willem) Spierings, geboren op 14-02-1903, schoenmaker van beroep. Hij trouwde met Petronella ( Pietje) van Wezel, dochter van voerman en landbouwer Piet van Wezel en Mie Swanen uit de Fabrieksstraat in Goirle. Het echtpaar vestigde zich in hun nieuw gebouwde woning in de Van Hessen-Kasselstraat 48 in Goirle. Na het vak van zijn vader geleerd te hebben, ging Willem werken bij Van Arendonk schoenfabriek in Tilburg. Na de oorlog zette hij samen met Harrie Spierings en Leen Spierings het bedrijf van Drik en Hanneke voort tot aan zijn pensionering. Willem Spierings overleed op 26-02-1982 ten gevolge van een aanrijding op 79 jarige leeftijd. Pietje van Wezel overleed op 19-09-1994 op 89 jarige leeftijdaaan ouderdomskwalen.
