Verder werden overlegd: de geboorteakten van bruidegom en bruid, de overlijdensakte van de moeder van de bruid, en het bewijs dat de bruidegom aan zijne verplichtingen ten aanzien van de Nationale Militie heeft voldaan, (afgekeurd voor zijn duim, maar wel voldaan aan de keurings-verplichting)

De ambtenaar van de burgerlijke stand vermeld nog dat de 2de genoemde getuige heeft verklaard dat hij het lezen en schrijven niet heeft geleerd. Bij de handtekeningen komt zijn handtekening dus niet voor. Mooi is het om de handtekeningen van deze mensen die wel konden schrijven, na meer dan 100 jaren nog eens te zien. Soms zijn het echte ’’hanenpoten’’, want zij hadden maar 3 of 4 jaren onderwijs gehad, maar er is ook een heel mooie bij van Jantje Eijsermans (X Francisca Ketelaars), de jongere broer van de bruid. De meest krachtige handtekening zette de vader van de bruid, Drik Eijsermans, die toen al de nodige zakelijke akten had gelezen en ondertekend voor zijn handel in gronden en huizen.

Drik (Adrianus Hendrikus) Spierings, schoenmaker van beroep, trouwde op 02-05-1889 te Goirle met Hanneke (Johanna Maria) Eijsermans, zonder beroep. Nadat het echtpaar was getrouwd namen zij hun intrek in een huurhuisje op de Tilburgseweg in Goirle. Het was een zogenaamd wevershuisje, en het was precies gelegen achter het pand dat Drik in 1909 in de Kloosterstraat liet bouwen. Dit soort huisjes staan er nu anno 2006 nog. Hier had Drik zijn schoenmakerij en werd de basis gelegd voor zijn gezin. Het echtpaar kreeg in totaal 10 kinderen waarvan het tweede kind op 7 jarige leeftijd overleed. Opmerkelijk is dat nu de eerste doopnaam van hun kinderen tevens hun roepnaam werd. Dit verschijnsel was dus na vele jaren veranderd. Alle kinderen werden daar op de Tilburgseweg geboren, met uitzondering van Hendrikus Josephus (Harrie) die in de Kloosterstraat werd geboren.
