Helena- Josephina ( Lena ) Spierings, geboren op 01-07-1905. Spoelster van beroep. Tijdens de Spaanse griep in 1918 is zij getroffen door deze ziekte die haar oogspieren aantastte. Op 04-10-1932 is zij gaan werken bij bakker Van Heeswijk in de Meelstraat 83 in Tilburg waar zij tevens inwonend was. Op 21-09-1938 keerde zij weer terug naar Goirle, en nam de huishoudelijke taken bij haar ouders Drik Spierings en Hanneke Eijsermans op zich. Toen haar vader zijn schoenwinkel in 1931 had gerealiseerd werd zij ook betrokken bij de verkoop van schoenen. Dat heeft zij tot de bedrijfssluiting in 1976 gedaan. Lena Spierings is ongetrouwd gebleven, en zij heeft de verzorging van haar reeds lang dementerende moeder op zich genomen. Na de bedrijfssluiting werd het huis in de Kloosterstraat verkocht, en ging Lena wonen op een flat aan de Bergstraat. Nadat zij een hersenbloeding had gekregen werd zij opgenomen in De Schakel. Zij liet een testament maken waarin de kinderen van haar broer Harrie als haar erfgenamen werden bedeeld. Zij werd in ieder geval ouder dan 80 jaar.
