When Dorothy Donnelly Cawthorn was a girl, she visited the Charles & Mary (Sherwood) Kohler home. She was given the contents of a leather pouch to examine. The papers were transcriptions of pages from the Ephraim & Elizabeth Alwood Bible. Dorothy made a copy of everything for her records. She made a hand-written copy for me about 1988. Dorothy was at my mother's funeral on 1 Feb 1989 in Ashland OH. The copy she made and mailed to me was a year or so before that. Here are some quotations from her copy:

"Ephraim Kelly Alwood was born 10-11-1803 Died Feb. 26 1881 Buried Mar. 1, 1881
Elizabeth (Salsberry or Salisbury) was born 5-9-1799
E.K. Alwood & Elizabeth Salsberry were united in the holy bands of matrimony July 15 - 1824
