Although sources give Nancy's state of birth = PA, her parents, Christopher & Lavinia Alwood moved to OH from MD in 1809 according to the Moravian diaries. Also, there is a Baltimore Co., MD record that Christopher & Loni or Lorri weremarried 10 Dec 1802.

I have retained Mrs. Stringfellow's dd/mm of birth for Nancy, but have used my reading of the 1850 census for the year of birth. Nancy would be 37 if she were born in 1812 or 1813. Also, OH as place of birth in 1812/1813 would beconsistent with a family that moved to OH in 1809. - D.A. Navorska 23May1999 - Irving TX <>
