Census records indicate that Washington and Margaret MathiasAlwood died very young, between 1845 and 1850, and left very young children. - 1993 - In 1995 it was learnt that Margaret remarried to J. A. Lipp & is found in Hanover Borough on the 1850 census - D.A.Navorska 17Au195.

27 Oct 1840 Heidelburg census has Washington Allwood with children who meet the ages of Edward, William, and Mary. The woman, aged 20 to 30 would be Margaret Mathias. An older woman, aged 60 to 70 is in the household also. On the 1850census, Edward, William, and Ann are living in separate families.
