Funeral services were held February 20 at the United Methodist Church in Ocheyedan for Lillian Dirks. Rev. Gordon Vickery officiated. Burial was in Ocheyedan Township cemetery with Walton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Lillian Dirks was born May 20, 1897 in Ocheyedan to James and Laviniah (Horbin) Stevens. She was married to John dirks on November 14, 1917 at Reading, Mn. They farmed near Ocheyedan until they retired and moved to town in 1953. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. The UMW, the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a Gold Star Mother. She died February 17 at Country View Manor in Sibley at the age of 90.

She is survived by two sons: Clarence and Lawrence, both of Ocheyedan, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Wilber and Alvin, her husband, five brothers and two sisters.
