Military = Inducted 1941. Troop C 113 Cavalry, Recon.-Merz APO 23O when killed in action.

Nordrhein-Westfalen in German. North Rhineland-Westphalia in English. At the time of his death, the region might be Rheinprov. as it is so indicated in 1937 in my German-language atlas.

Newspaper fragment, no date, (Bennie was in the U.S.A.F. from F46-N1948) 'Stands Honor Guard For Brother's Body' 'Cpl. Bennie B. Limberg, who is stationed with the Army Air Force at Weisbaden, Germany, was one of twenty-four of hisdetachment that stood guard at the cememonies at Antwerp, Belguim, for the return of World War II dead on October 4th.

Staff Sgt. Alfred Limberg, who was killed in 1944 while fighting in Belgium, was one of the many hundreds of bodies removed from the Henri Chappelle cemetery at Belguim for shipment back to the United States. He was the brother of BennieLimberg.'

The place of death=Belguim, contradicts Elsie Larson's records which gives Aachen, Germany as place of death.

Buried in Olena Mound Cem. in the family plot.

Alfred Limberg was in the Cavalry according to Elsie Larson's cem. recs.

Mrs. Hull writes, "ONE SOURCE SAYS WAS FIRST BURIED IN BELGIUM--MAYBE KILLED IN BELGIUM.OTHER SOURCE SAYS KILLED IN NORDRHEIM,GERMANY." <>
