"Ostfriesische Nachrichten' of January 10, 1933, # 2-1933:

"Dem Herrn über Leben und Tod hat es in seinem allweisen Rat gefallen, Peter Kuper aus der Zeit in die Ewigkeit abzurufen. Er wurde am 27. Sept. 1857 in Holthuserheide, Ostfriesland, geboren. Im Alter von 25 Jahren kam er nach Amerika und ließ sich in der Nähe von Ackley, Iowa, nieder, wo er seine Lebensgefährtin fandin Jennie Groen, mit welcher er im Jahre 1884 in den Ehestand trat. Elf Kinder wurden ihnen geboren, von denen 2 dem Vater im Kindesalter im Tode vorangingen. Wenige Jahre nachher verzog er mit seiner Familie nach Kossuth Co., Iowa, vondort nach dem Staate Texas, wenige Jahre später kam er nach Kossuth zurück und 1919 kam er nach Grant Co., S. Dak., wo er nun am 5. Dez. 1932 im Alter von 75 Jahren, 2 Monaten und 18 Tagen gestorben ist. Es betrauern sein Dahinscheidenseine Gattin und neun Kinder: Harm, Henry, Berend, Peter, Frau Hattie Konstant, Frau Minnie Lindberg, Frau Meina Sleeper, Frau Jennie Sleeper und Frau Julius. Am 17. Dezember wurde er unter Leitung von Pastor F. Schneck und Pastor J.Janssen auf dem Kilbourn Friedhofe dem Schoße der Erde übergeben. Dies bringt zur Anzeige im Namen der Gattin und Kinder: Fred Schneck, Pastor, Milbank,S. Dakota."
