Ben Peter Kuper, 72, 306 3rd St. SE, died Saturday at a Watertown hospital. He had been ill for a week.

Guneral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Congregational Church with the Rev. A. R. Tinge, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Milbank cemetery.

The body will be at the Shaw-Messer Chapel until the service. Friends may call from 2 to 5:30 and 7 and 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Kuper was born Dec. 17, 1899, at Buffalo Center, Iowa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kuper. He came to South Dakota with his parents in 1920 and farmed until 1944. Since 1947, he had been a cement finisher with the Schnackenbergcement contracting company of Watertown.

He married Elsie F. Klinke Sept. 16, 1931, at Twin Books [sic]. He was a member of the Congregational church.

Surviving are his wife; one sister, Mrs. John Konstant of Milbank and a brother, Henry Kuper of Corona."

Mrs. LaRie Hull writes, "Died in Watertown Hospital after a one week illness. Came to SD. with his parents in 1920. Farmed until 1944. Since 1947 had been with Schnackenberg cement contracting. Funeral in 1st Congregational Church in Watertown,SD. Address Watertown, SD. 9/1961. Hattie Konstant(sister) and Henry Kuper(brother) survive."
