LAST RITES HELF FOR MRS. F. HEYER

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Heyer, who passed away Thursday morning, was held at the Reformed church Saturday afternoon.

Nee Harmke Groen was born in Tickelwerf, Germany, on November 13, 1859. She spent her early days across the seas, was married to Mr. Fred Heyer in 1880 and the next year they left for America. For eighteen years they lived at Kamrar,Iowa, and then the next four years were spent at Steen, Minn. Following that they lived at Titonka for a period of 12 years. From 1933 to 1935 Mr. and Mrs. Heyer lived in Buffalo Center at which time Mr. Heyer entered upon his eternalreward. Since the death of her beloved husband, the deceased made her home with her children where she received such tender care that never once did a word of complaint escape her lips in our presence. For years a member of the localReformed church, she lived a quiet, trusting, Christian life. Once afflicted with a illness that took her near death, she was taken sick again about ten days ago and gradually her strength left her. There was, to all indications, nogreat suffering, and best of all, there was no doubt in her mind as to the certainty of her eternal happiness.

Quietly she passed away early on Thursday morning, September 24, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Ites, reaching the age of 76 years, 10 months and 11 days. She leaves to mourn her departure the following near relatives: 5 daughters,Mrs. Minnie Van Langen, Kamrar; Mrs. Anna Tempel, Wilmot, S. D.; Mrs. Hattie Boomgarden, Ash Creek, Minn.; Mrs. Jennie Ites, Buffalo Center; Mrs. Frieda Rippentrop of Buffalo Center. Three sons: William of Buffalo Center, Henry of Wodenand George of Titonka. One brother, John Groen, of Milbank, S. D. and two sisters, Mrs. Pete Kuper of Ortonville Minn., and Mrs. Herman Cordes of Parkersburg, Iowa. there remain also 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Othermore distand relatives and friends share in the sorrow with the immidiate kin. - Buffalo Center Tribune." <>
