'Annie L. Lage Funeral Held in Wilmot for Annie L. Lage Funeral services were held Saturday for Annie L. Lage, 77. Corona, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Wilmot. The Rev. Don McKillop officiated with music by Donna Kaufman,organist, and Larry Tietjen, vocalist

Mrs. Lage died March 29, 1994, at the St. Bernard Hospital.

Interment was in the Milbank Cemetery. Pallbearers were ... Robert Van Hout, ...

Annie L. Lage was born August 6, 1916 in Canby, MN, to John and Jennie (Kuper) Sleaper and attended school in Kilborn Township, Grant County. On Jan. 22, 1937, she married Wilbur Lage. They farmed in the Twin Brooks area until 1946.They owned and operated the Twin Brooks Café until 1951. They farmed again until 1961. She and her husband owned and operated Shady Beach Resort on Big Stone Lake until retiring in 1978.

Mrs. Lage was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Wilmot and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting flower arranging and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbur, Corona; two daughters Mrs. Fred (Darlene) Fitzsimmons, both of Corona; four grandchildren; two brothers, Avert and Peter Sleaper, both of Milwaukee, WI, and one sister, Mrs. George (Jennie) Vissers,New Berlin, WI.

Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant brother, Henry, and a grandson, Thomas Bellus.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry of Corona; two daughters, Mrs. (Fred) Darlene Fitzsimmons and Mrs. (Bill) Janice Schwandt, both of Corona; two brothers, Avert and Peter Sleaper, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. (George)Jennie Vissers of New Berlin, Wis.; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.'
