Theodore Spieker, 85

Funeral services for Theodore Spieker, 85, of Buffalo Center were held Monday morning, April 23 at ,the First Congregational Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Steve Oeffling officiating. Mr. Spieker died Thursday, April 19 at the TitonkaCare Center. Winter Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements and interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Arlan Madetzke, Willis Murra, Herbert Julius, Bennie Limberg, Wally Julius and Ed Albers. Mrs. Kathi Nelson was the organist and Mrs. Connie Berg, the soloist.

Mr. Spieker was born April 16, 1899 in Kossuth County. He was married to Anna Westendorf at Forest City, August 14, 1918, To this union four children were born.

They farmed in the Buffalo Center area until 1936 when the family moved to Buffalo Center where Ted was in the trucking business until his retirement. His wife passed away May 10, 1953.

On March 21, 1956, he was married to Alice (Westendorf) Storvik. She preceded him in death on August 27, 1983.

Survivors include three sons, Irvin, Buffalo Center, Jack, Ankeny, and Merlin, Forest City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Darrel (Shirley) Miller, Mason City, and Mrs. Russell (Gladys) Beatty, Humboldt; four grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren"
