Funeral Services Held For Peter Ubben, 73

Funeral services for Peter Ubben were held from the home at 1:00 p.m. and from the Ramsey Reformed church at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 14. Rev. William Kroon was in charge of the military funeral. Burial was in Ramsey cemetery.blake Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Peter Ubben, son of Ubbe and Grace Kuper Ubben, was born August 5, 1887, at Austinville, Ia., in Grundy County. With his parents he lived in that vicinity until 1902 when they moved to Kossuth County. they moved to the farm now occupiedby Ubbe and Herman Ubben. He entered the Armed Forces of our country on September 22, 1917, and received hsis honorable discharge on September 24, 1919.

On March 9, 1920, he was united in marriage to Jahanna Reppentrop. They lived on the Ubben farm until they moved to the present Ubben home in Titonka in 1956. To this union seven children were born.

Mr. Ubben became a member of the Ramsey REformed Church in April, 1922, and was an active, faithful member as long as his health permitted. He served on the Church Consistory both as a deacon and as an elder for approximately 12 years.

Mr. Ubben was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters.

Mr. Ubben was called to his eternal home at 9:50 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 1960, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 5 days. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Johanna, seven children, Ubbe of Titonka, Johnnie of BuffaloCenter, Grace (Mrs. Warner Smidt, Jr.) of Titonka, Evert of Scarville, Marie (Mrs Willis Murra) of Buffalo Center, Dorothy (Mrs Carl Giesking, Jr.) of Titonka, and Herman of Titonka, 20 grandchildren, and many friends. ..."
