Funeral Services Held For O. J. Rippentrop, 85

Lakota: O. J. Rippentrop, 85, retired farmer from the Lakota area, died at Timely Mission Nursing Home in Buffalo Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesdy afternoon, April 29 at First Presbyterian Church, Lakota. Burial was in Ramsey Reformed church Cemetery in Rural Titonka.

Pallbearers were six grandsons, Dwayne Rippentrop, Orville Rippentrop, Donald Rippentrop, Edward (Jim) Rippentrop, Byron Rippentrop and Gary Heetland.

He was born January 11, 1885 to John K. and Mareka Rippentrop on March 12, 1908, he was married to Minnie Sleper at Titonka. this marriage was blessed with eight children. Following their marriage, they made their home on a farm nearWoden, later moving north of titonka, and in 1930 to a farm near Lakota where he spent his later years with his son, Joe, until he entered the Timely Mission Home on April 7.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two children in infancy, and a son, Marcus.

Survivors include three sons, Olvert, Jr. of Titonka, Everett of Swea City, and Joe of Lakota; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald Heetland and Mrs. George Ennen, both of Lakota; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Ukena of Lakota, Mrs. Maggie Boekelman,Mrs. John Sleper, Mrs. Johanna Ubben and Mrs. Gertrude Rike, all of titonka. there are 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. ..." <>
