Services Thursday For Mrs. Mary Welhousen, 80

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary J. Welhousen, 80, will be held today, Thursday, November 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Titonka with Rev. Paul Hansen officiating. Music will be furnished by Mrs. Leonard Leeck,organist, and Mrs. Donald Budlong, soloist.

Mrs. Welhousen was born February 3, 1889, the daughter of John K. Rippentrop and Mary Williamsen Rippentrop, and had lived her entire life in the Titonka area. On Sunday, November 16 she passed away at the Buffalo Center Hospital whereshe had been for about eight weeks.

Burial will be in the Buffalo Township Cemetery. Serving as casket attendants will be evert Sleper, Ubbe Ubben, John Rike, Joe Boekelman, John S. Rippentrop and Joe Rippentrop. Arrangements are by the Blake Funeral Home.

She was married to Garret D. Welhousen on December 4, 1912, and had lived in Titonka for the past 21 years.

Survivors include one son, John Welhousen of titonka; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chandler of Dayton, Ohio; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one brother, Olvert Rippentrop of Lakota; and five sisters, Mrs. Anna Ukena of Lakota,and Mrs. Maggie Boekelman, Mrs. Etta Sleper, Mrs. Johanna Ubben and Mrs. Gertrude Rike, all of Titonka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers." <>
