'Ledyard [IA] ... 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs Harold Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Klinksiek, LuEtta Klinksiek and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Brandt attended the open house which was held at the Serior Center in Blue Earth on April 21 inobservance of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winter. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nitz of Esterville were also among the area friends and relatives who attended. Mrs. Winter is the former Delores Nitz."

This 50th anniversary party seems about 3 1/2 months late or the 8 Dec 1945 date supplied by Mrs. Alice Winter née Bassett is wrong.
