"Lawrence Lee Winter

Lawrence Lee Winter, 72, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 17 at Winter Funeral Home in Buffalo Center.

Lawrence was born March 4, 1940 in Buffalo Center. He was raised on a farm and started trucking in 1960. After 48 years and over 3 million miles of safe driving, he retired in 2009, in Stewartville, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen (Egesdal) Winter; daughter, Kim (Mike) Donahoe of Stewartville, MN; son James Winter of Boone; four grandchildren: Bob and Caitlin Donahoe and Sarah and Elizabeth Winter; three step grandchildren: JackieGunderson, and Jeff and James Donahoe; three step great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Tucker Donahoe and Daltin Hawkins; his two sisters, Minnie (Merlin) Walker and Marge Miller; two sisters-in-law: Evelyn (George) Winter and Ruth (Andrew)Winter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ubbe and Hermena Winter of Buffalo Center; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: John and June Winter, Edward and Irene Winter, George Winter and Andrew Winter.

He was a joy to his family and will be lovingly missed by everyone.
