'James A. Heyer, 60 Funeral services for James A. Heyer, 60, were held Saturday, March 6, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Manchester with Rev. David Wagner officiating. Interment was at Oakland Cemetery in Manchester with Bohnenkamp-MurdochFuneral Home of Manchester in charge of arrangements.

James was born on October 28, 1938 at Bancroft to George and Gesina (Janssen Heyer. He graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1956. Following graduation, he was employed at John and Jerry's Hardware of Buffalo Center. He servedin the United States Army and was stationed in Korea.

James worked for many years at the Manchester Press before leaving to start a family printing business. He most recently had been employed at Exide as a machine operator.

James passed away Thursday, March 4, 1999 at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, following a brief illness.

He is survived by a friend, Kelly; three sons; James of Manchester; Brian and his wife, Amy, of Greenfield, Wisconsin; Charlie of Waverly; four brothers: Harvey and his wife Ramona, and Cecil and his wife, Florence, all of Titonka;Lawrence and his wife, Jennie, of Missouri; Gordon and his wife, Lois, of Kansas; a sister-in-law: Betty Heyer of Buffalo Center; a granddaughter, Hannah Heyer and an expected grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alfred.
