Obituary
Edgar Stohr, age 77, of River Falls, formerly of Elmwood died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Comforts of Home in River Falls.

Celebration of life for Edgar will be January 12, 2019 from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Auditorium, 323 West Winter Ave, Elmwood, Wisconsin.

Edgar D Stohr passed away peacefully at The Comforts of Home Care Center in River Falls, WI on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Ed was born August 30th 1941 in Woden, IA to Henry and Gertie Stohr. Ed graduated from Woden-Crystal Lake High School in 1960, later that same year he married his former wife Marilyn Aukes on October 7th 1960. Ed was started his farming career as a Dairy Farmer purchasing farms near Bancroft, Iowa and Fairmont, Minnesota. Always loving Wisconsin, Ed purchased a farm near Elmwood, Wisconsin in 1976 where he would reside for the next 40 years of his life.

The farm outside Elmwood became a very special place and a refuge for all of Ed's grand kids. Ed and Marilyn always made sure it felt like a home. The door was always open to stop in for a cookie and Pepsi. One would be hard pressed to go anywhere with Ed and not run into someone that he knew. Strangers where just friends Ed had not met yet! Ed loved farming, gardening, and was incredibly skilled at restoring and collecting antique tractors.

He is survived by his Brother; Beuford Stohr, Sister's; Arlene Kruse and Verla Bartelt of Woden, IA, his former Wife; Marilyn Stohr of Buffalo Center, IA, his two children; Rick Stohr (Renae Stohr) of Elmwood, Wisconsin, his daughter Valarie Smith (Gregory Smith) of Rhome, Texas, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in his death by his Parents; Henry and Gertie Stohr, Brother; Vernon Stohr and an infant sister."
