Mrs. Etta Stohr passed away on Dec. 19. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Immanuel Lutheran church with Rev. Wm. Planz, the pastor, in charge. Following is the obituary he read at the service.

Etta Eden Stohr, daughter of Geerd and Ettje Eden, was born at Ackley, Iowa. She entered the covenant relation wiht the Triune God by the Sacrament of the Holy Baptism in infancy. She was instructed in the Lutheran Faith and confirmedby Rev. Aug. Wellner.

In 1900 she was united in marriage with Eggo Stohr. This happy union was blessed with seven children. One child died in infancy. they resided on their farm in Winnebago County.

On March 20, 1928, she was bereaved of her beloved husband. She remained on the farm until 1932, when she moved to Titonka. After several years she left Titonka and thenceforth made her home with her children.

Mother Stohr was a faithful member of Immanuel congregation of which her husband had been a trustee for many years.

Mrs. Stohr had been suffering with heart disease for many years. Last week her condition became worse, and last Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock this weary pilgrim departed this life to enter into eternal life. She attained the age of 72years, 9 months and 21 days.

She leaves to mourn her departure one son, Henry of Woden, five daughters, Etta, Mrs. Walbert Bruns of Britt; Caroline, Mrs Dick E. Senne of Northwood; Gertrude, Mrs. Harm Kurtzlaben of Britt; Lydia, Mrs. Harm Hillinga of Woden; Lora,Mrs. Menno Redenius of Britt; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bruns of Titonka; one brother, Enno Eden of Clear Lake; and 21 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends."

A perpetual calendar shows 22 December to be Saturday in 1945 and to be Sunday in 1946, ergo, the burial was in 1945. <>
