"Rites Held for Mrs. Bruno Bruns

Funeral services for Mrs. Bruno Bruns were held here on Thursday, at the Reformed Chruch, with the Rev. H. F. Senne and Rev. Henry Kruse officiating. Interment was in Olena Mound Cemetery, Buffalo Center.

Mrs. Bruno Bruns, nee Engellina Troff, was born November 9, 1872, at Dielerheide, Eastfriesland, Germany. She departed this life on Monday evening, November, 26, 1951, at the age of 79 years and 17 days.

On April 21, 1894, she was married to Bruno Bruns at Stapelmoor, Eastfriesland, Germany. In the year 1903 the family emigrated to this country,coming to this area where they have since resided, and engaged in farming.

The deceased was in failing health for some years. For more than a year she was bed-ridden with a lingering illness from which she is now removed to her eternal home.

She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and nine children; Etta, Mrs. May land of Lake Mills, Jennie, Mrs. Kort of Buffalo Center; Wulbert of Britt; Engellina, Mrs. Harringa of Wesley; Gerti, Mrs. Henry Stohr of Woden; Bruno ofTitonka; Grace, Mrs. Edward Stohr of Titonka; John Bruns; Tressa, Mrs. Dick Beenken of Titonka. Besides these 9 children there are 30 grand-children and 13 greatgrand-children. One daughter, Johanna, preceded her in death." <>
